12th May 2007 Windsurfing: Avon Beach Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F5-6 Surf / Sea State: Swell Air Temperature: 15 Sea Temperature: 11 Weather: Sunny, mixed cloud Max Speed: Distance Covered: Went out initially on 4.7m, was considerably powered up sometimes, and struggling a bit with the swell - chicken! good coming back in tho, and waves quite good. Switched down to 4.0m, bit underpowered at time but good when wind kicked in. Writing this sometime after the event, so hard to recall any stand-out events, apart from being there with Pen, who took some crap video as a non-windsurfing person! Will work harder at being powered up in future, but it doesn't seem like fun :( and my arms get too pumped up too fast because I hold on too hard! Roll on next time... |
